Gator Growl was a complete success! Believe it or not, this is the first Gator Growl I’ve been to, even though I went to high school and college in Gainesville. We were sitting in touchdown terrace. At first we thought it was going to SUCK being behind the stage. Boy were we wrong! We were the closest ones and I confirmed it by comparing our video from others on YouTube.

Some of the skits were a bit lame, but most were rather funny. I loved the mime who did Tebow’s day!! He really has some talent. Frank Calliendo was very funny.

But, of course, the best part was LYNYRD SKYNYRD!! For a bunch of old farts, they were awesome! It’s funny to hear a bunch of Floridians cheer so loudly to a song about Alabama! No doubt, Free Bird was the best. It was such a sight to see all these cell phones waving back and forth in place of lighters. We tried to capture it on video, but of course nothing is better than seeing it in person. We just wished they had played a bit longer. The concert just seemed so short.

The next day was the Homecoming game for the Florida Gators. The Gators beat Vandy 49-22 and we left happy!
